Hope your all having a great summer. It has finally warmed up. Open gym on Wednesday morning and Sunday night have been going well. School Volleyball will be starting in less then a month. Coach Husmann and her coaches have been working the High School girls in the weight room and in the gym this summer.

 

I attach a sand vb tournament registration for up in Waterloo this weekend on Sunday for anyone that would be interested. It is close and they are a lot of fun. Any questions, let me know.

 

We have had a lot of girls going to summer camps, couple of our girls are playing in sand tournament and a couple made All Wamac Conferance in softball.

 

Haley and Abby Weideman are playing in this summers sand tournaments. They took first at the June 18th Sand Tournament for 12's and under. First at the July 9th Iowa Jr. Regional's for 13's and under. 3rd at last Saturday Hawkeye Open for 12's and under. All these tournaments was played in Des Moines. Congratulation for a great job. Both are having a lot of fun learning on how to play in the sand.

 

Madison Wilkin made first team All Wamac Conference softball team and Sam Croghan made second team All Wamac Conference softball team. Congratulation to both of them. 

 

 

Aug. 1-3rd is Coach Husmann and the schools camps. I believe 4-6th is 9-10:15, 7-8th is 10:30-12 and 9-12th is 12:30-2. Hope you all can make this.

 

July 24th is the sand double tournament in Waterloo. They have another coming up. Info coming later.

 

Open gym on Wednesday in the N gym Elementary from 8:15-10am on July 20th and 27th. None on Aug 3rd because of school camp. Aug 10th and 17th. 17th would be the last because school starts:) 

 

Open gym on Sunday goes till the end of August. We may move to the new High School for Sundays open gym in August. I will let you know when we figure it out. After August it depends on the interest during School VB. Last year we had enough for Sundays during school VB. Let me know if your interested.

 

This game is about practice and touches. The interest is way up this year and we are developing a lot of good volleyball players. Keep up the hard work. It pays off in your play come game time. You will hear us say, you play like you practice. This is so true. Just look at the past club season and year. A lot of first for tournaments and players.
